They are talking about the remove ads option. It’s a one time purchase just to remove ads with none of the additional features of the subscription. As I understand it.
The lifetime purchase to remove ads is up. It’s a bit pricey but I can understand why, Lemmy has a smaller userbase. Totally worth it.

Yeah if you just click ‘remove ads’ on the sidebar it’s $20 for lifetime I believe
