Not a mathematical proof, but straightness isnāt the same as heterosexuality, nor is gay synonymous with homosexuality. Two enbies might have the same gender, making their relationship homosexual, but two enbies can also have very different nonbinary genders, therefore being heterosexual. However, those heterosexual enbies would still not be straight, because they arenāt a cis man with a cis woman.
It all comes down to straightness being an entirely normative category, not a descriptive one. Itās just like the bs concept of āwhitenessā which will similarly exclude Europeans or people with pale skin because they donāt āfit inā for arbitrary reasons.
People who insist that itās straight to have sex with the homies are trying to claim that theyāre ānormalā and shouldnāt be discriminated against just for who they fuck. Itās understandable to not wanna be discriminated against, and even more understandable to think rigid constructions of sexuality are stupid.
