The solution they propose: more of the same. Pay lip service to minority groups as “they have the same rights as all Georgians”. Embrace kitchen-table issues instead of “college-level” questions on climate damage. Convince people they care about the home-front issues rather than global politics.

And that may work for county commissioner, but I fully expect national-level political figures to give a shit about the big questions of international affairs and global climate while trusting (or at least not micromanaging) local government to do its job.
