Shoutout to Caves of Qud, because it wasnāt mentioned yet. Iāve been looking for a game that comes close to ZAngband which I played in the 90s. COQ has a tileset, so itās not ASCII and I didnāt like the looks at first but itās fun when you see how deep it is. Complex character creation, quests, factions, ābossesāā¦ I think the world map is not randomly generated, the rest is afaik (ruins, multi-levelled lairs, most villagesā¦).
