A good start. Now we only need people to start realising it’s not the ‘inaction’ of world leaders that’s the problem; it’s the active support of the genocide.

This may not be the proper place for this, but is there a video or explanation for why Palestine is hated so much by Israel? Germany is no longer seen as entirely evil Nazi’s, Japan doesn’t have the same stigmas from WWII either. What has Palestine done to warrant the atrocities happening? If it happened in the past, surely, by now, enough time has passed where it just doesn’t matter anymore.

Israelis are indoctrinated from their youth to see Palestinians as barbarians trying to kill all Israelis (or Jews as they like to call themselves). This creates a justification for the Israeli colonists to kill all Palestinians because with their twisted logic it is “kill or be killed”.

What is remarkable is Israelis frequently project evils committed by themselves in the past against Palestinians. Such as Israelis throwing children in ovens during the Nakba. Or mass the mass rape of Palestinian hostages by Israel/

If Israel accuses Palestinians of something heinous, you can almost guarantee that Israel did that very thing against Palestinians

It’s simple; they’re living on the land that the zionist project wants. Everything else is just working backwards from that to create ideological justification for wiping them out.

Probably being egged on by USA and Europe for the purposes of keeping the Middle East in line. Most of Israel funding comes from defense spending from the US and other countries. They don’t have oil like their rich Arab neighbors. ME do not like Israel around . Also the land was stolen from Palestinians, after WW2.

Japan wasnt invaded and had their population extirpated after. They mostly kept their population there after the war

It’s hard to tell where to start with all the things wrong with what you’ve said:

        1. Palestinians include people of multiple religions.
        2. Muslims do not believe they are God’s “chosen ones”
        3. Neither does Islam have any concept of birthrights based on religion.
        4. Palestinian claims to Jerusalem (and Palestine in general) aren’t based on religion but rather the fact that it actually is their land.

It’s sounds like you’ve been taken in by Israeli propaganda that tries to misrepresent the root causes.

The real root cause is colonialism. It’s not about religion at all except as an excuse to colonize the region.

In the era of instant gratification, there is no time to breath. Maybe you’ve caught yourself skipping a post without thinking. Some posts are just too wordy. Our brains filter it out nearly subconsciously. The result of this competitive hyper targeted content delivery is a severely shortened attention span. Thinking is becoming more and more painful.

Also, Ms. Rachel is very amateur at video editing.

Maybe she didn’t script it and she cut out gaps where she considered her next sentence. I don’t use the app but my guess is tiktok has a max on the length of a video so maybe she also cut other lines out so it would fit. I agree, I’m not a fan of choppy editing but I understand that people sometimes want to get a thought out there with just one take

You don’t need to be religious to perform evil acts the same way you don’t need to be religious to perform moral acts.

At best the Israeli government is completely incapable of distinguishing between enemy combatants and civilians/children and at worst is intentionally committing genocide.

Given all the evidence we’ve seen so far, it’s certainly the latter.

Either scenario should be enough for the UN to step in with a heavily armed and permanent peacekeeping force to hold a long lasting ceasefire and start of a many decades long process of peace negotiations, rebuilding, reparations, and war crime court hearings.

Religious people don’t have to be bad, yes. That does not magically erase the centuries of history where religion was used as an excuse to perpetrait violence.

Sure, it wouldn’t “fix” violence, but you’d have to be a complete moron to fail to understand how the world would be very, very different if it were removed.

To think the world would be no different is literally as dumb as people who argue nothing should be illegal because people do bad things anyways…

No one is saying things would be perfect. They’re only saying bad people would have one less excuse.

This is your brain on New Atheism.

Haaretz - How Israel Went From Atheist Zionism to Jewish State

Zionism as a national movement that rebelled against historical Judaism was mainly atheistic. Most of its leaders and activists ceased believing in redemption through the coming of the Messiah, the long-standing essence of Jewish belief, and took their fate into their own hands. The power of the human subject replaced the power of the omnipotent God.

The rabbis knew that, and were terrified – and, therefore, almost all of them became avowed anti-Zionists. From Hasidic rebbes Sholom Dovber Schneersohn, the Admor of Lubavitch (Chabad) and Yehudah Aryeh Leib Alter (the Admor of Gur) to leading U.S. Reform Rabbi Isaac Mayer Wise, founder of the Reform Central Conference, mitnagdim and Hasidim, Orthodox, Reform and Conservative, all saw the rise of Zionism as the end of Judaism. Due to the sweeping opposition of the rabbis of Germany, Theodor Herzl was forced to transfer the First Zionist Congress from Munich to the Swiss city of Basel.

But beginning with the first stages in the consolidation and settlement of the Zionist movement, it was forced to meticulously sort and thoroughly nationalize some of the religious beliefs in order to turn them into nation-building myths.

For the atheistic Zionists, God was dead and therefore the Holy Land became the homeland; all the traditional holidays became national holidays; and Jerusalem stopped being a heavenly city and became the very earthly capital of an eternal people. But it wasn’t these decisions, or many others, that prevented secular nationalism from serving as the foundation for the establishment of the State of Israel.

The point of religion is that the worldly life is a test for people to do good and bad. That is what the whole heaven and hell thing is about. If anything this story is awfully reminiscient of Mozes and the Pharaoh.
