ATLANTA (AP) — U.S. Rep.Ā Marjorie Taylor GreeneĀ announced Tuesday that she won’t run for governor in Georgia in 2026, putting an end to her flirtation with the race in aĀ long social media postĀ saying she is turned off by a political ā€œgood ole boyā€ system and alleging that it was endangering Republican control of the state.

Greene chose earlierĀ not to run for SenateĀ under pressure from Republicans who feared she would hand a second term to Democratic incumbentĀ Jon Ossoff. But she told reporters she might instead run for governorĀ during a June appearanceĀ at the Georgia Republican Party convention in Dalton, where she wore a ā€œMake Georgia Great Againā€ hat and discussing state issues.

. . . ā€œOne day, I might just without the blessing from the good ole boys club or the out-of-state consulting leeches or even without the blessing of my favorite president,ā€ Greene wrote. ā€œOne day, I might just run purely out of the blessing of the wonderful people of Georgia, my family and friends, but it won’t be in 2026.ā€

. . . In her social media post, she alleged that a ā€œvery established ā€˜Men Only’ Republican firm is unfortunately overseeing the slow slide from red to blueā€ and that self interest is blocking the GOP from addressing real issues.

Doubtful. Because we’re talking about how stupid he is. Not the best sales pitch.

Trump’s strategy of saying offensive shit was carefully calculated to not saying anything that would offend the maga base. This was a strait up typo.
