I’ve been rewatching friends as a background show while I do other stuff. Joey is by far the most accepting one of the group. Yeah he’s a womanizer, but he’s not bad. There’s even an episode he gets cheated on and calls every woman he dated to apologize and say now he knows how it feels. If they were just conquests or objects to him he wouldn’t do that.

Genuinely not a bad example of masculinity. He openly tells his (male) friends he loves them, he’s okay asking his friends to kiss him to help him audition, he even is okay with Chandler dating Cathy, he’s just hurt Chandler went behind his back.
