It would take congress to rename it.
So he’s creating secondary titles, and passing an EO that says everyone has to use high level officials “preferred nomenclature”.
Literally what they’re so pissed trans kids are doing in schools…
But they’ve never been mad at Rafael Cruz for doing that either.
This is a good thing for the rest of us. Now when they constantly steal money from other places and allocate it to the defense department, it’ll be labeled correctly.

Honestly, every so often, Trump does something I like.
It was “Department of War” for most of US history, because the US was founded by people who spoke directly and didn’t fuck around. At some point in the mid 20th century, a particular brand of dishonest suit wearing cunts took over. If Trump wants to undo one little bit of their fuckery, then great. It’s not like he will be the inventor of the “Defense Department” wandering the entire globe and starting wars.
