Atlanta’s largest office building to debut in 2024 is set to fully open a new public facet this week.

Celestia, a swanky rooftop bar and lounge with specialty cocktails, is now open at Ten Twenty Spring, a glassy 25-story, 530,000-square-foot office tower by Atlanta developer Portman that overlooks the downtown Connector.

It’s one of three concepts planned for the building by renowned Chef Fuyuhiko Ito.

Celestia—the name means a place between earth and heaven—is situated on the building’s eighth-floor rooftop, with indoor and outdoor lounge spaces with city views. Along with sake, wine, and a deep cocktail roster, the Celestia menu features contemporary international cuisine such as lobster, oysters, caviar, escargot, wagyu ravioli, ribeye, and more.

Adjacent to Celestia, an omakase concept called Ishin by Ito is scheduled to open Tuesday. Expect a 16-seat counter, Midtown skyline views, and a current menu featuring yakizakana, crudo, nigiri, and more, plus cocktails, sake, wine, and Japanese beer.

The openings follow news in August that international accounting firm Ernst & Young has leased more than 102,000 square feet of the Class A Ten Twenty Spring building, spanning the 14th through 16th floors. E&Y plans to relocate roughly 3,000 Atlanta-based employees from the firm’s current downtown offices in August next year.

Both Celestia and Ishin operate as reservation or invitation-only, per Portman officials. Guests access the eighth-floor rooftop via a separate, private elevator entrance.

Ito’s plans for the Midtown tower aren’t finished. In early 2026, the chef plans to open a ground-floor, Japanese contemporary concept at Ten Twenty Spring called Sozou. It will feature a robata grill, main kitchen, and sushi counter stocked with “the freshest, highest-quality ingredients sourced from the world’s finest fish markets,” per Portman officials.

The Ten Twenty Spring building, a partnership between Portman and Perform Properties, features 32,000-square-foot-plus floor plates and 10-foot, floor-to-ceiling windows, described by developers as a first for the market.

Elsewhere, the building counts 15,000 square feet of private terraces, 20,000 square feet of tenant amenities, and 10,000 square feet of greenspace. It’s part of Portman’s larger, multi-building Spring Quarter project.

Other components of Spring Quarter include 370-apartment, luxury tower Sora, where Pepper Boxing, an Atlanta-based cardio boxing studio, operates today. Contemporary Mexican restaurant Habaneros is also scheduled to open at the base of the Sora tower this year.

At the center of Spring Quarter’s property is the historic H.M. Patterson Home and Gardens. Portman’s plans call for creating an “alluring day-to-night dining experience” there. Asked for an opening timeline and concept details today, a Portman rep replied via email: “We hope to share further details on the restaurant concept and opening soon.”

Travis Garland, Portman’s chief development officer, called Ishin and Celestia’s openings key milestones in creating the dining and office experience the developer is going for. “This momentum,” noted Garland in a statement, “paired with recent lease signings, is a strong testament to the long-term appeal of activated mixed-use districts.”
