Does the rest of Europe and the world dislike international breaks as much as we do in England ?
I was having this discussion with friends and I think it directly correlates with the quality of the league of your country.
For example Spain England Germany will dislike them as they would prefer to see their clubs playing , but for Croatia their national team is better than their club teams so they enjoy it.
I could be totally wrong so please let me know !
If your country is horrible, you hate it, if your country is too good you hate it too (who tf cares about germany vs macedonia or bulgaria) but if you have a national team in the middle, basically all international matches are exciting and have more on the line.
my country had times when they managed to lose against Andorra or Khazastan, but made the past 2 euro s, so basically every match could go either way
