Years ago I had a roommate who took obscenely long showers. One time we were supposed to go food shopping but he wanted a “quick shower” before we went. I watched 2 episodes of narcos on Netflix, got frustrated, went shopping alone, drove to store, and did a week worth of grocery shopping, drove back, brought all groceries to the apartment (third floor), put everything away, waited another 30 minutes and he finally came out of the shower.
Two episodes of Narcos at ~45 min each, plus driving to the grocery store and back (30 min), buying groceries and putting them away (40 min), plus another 30 minutes in the shower, is about 145 minutes.
At 2 gallons per minute shower head flow rate, that’s 290 gallons of water, or 38.7 cubic feet.

I have no idea what he did in there.

I agree with everything besides driving to the grocery store(it was only down the street, maybe 5 minutes each way). It is/was a huge waste of water.
