All in the title. In discussion with a few friends, I mentioned that I was rooting for Liverpool in '05 in the CL final against AC Milan, and people were surprised… it seems this is not as common as I thought.
So, what’s your attidute towards your clubs’ local rivals when they are in continental competitions?
i find it difficult to root for arsenal as a whole in any situation, but find it rather easy to support individual players that i like, like saka. i got to see henry play in the mls and i felt nothing but awe.
having said that, i am also a huge nhl fan, and i supported the ducks during their cup run (as a kings fan) and my friend group has not let me live it down yet.; they won it in 2007. i was just happy lord stanleys cup was coming to the west coast for the first time ever.
