This shows how unfair the world of football is, Everton are a poor smaller club so the FA can punch down on them as they please. Whereas the top clubs are given special treatment and allowed to bend the rules, can hire the best lawyers and being state owned gives them unlimited power

If 10 points is for what seems to be a single charge of breaching the rules, then I guess you look at how many times the rules are breached, and not the total charges made.

Chelsea and Man City would probably be on the level of, I dunno, 50-100 points?

Poor? Small? No Unsuccessful recently? Yes.

FFP is the definition of giving top clubs special treatment lmao.

“these 5 historically huge clubs are allowed to spend 5x everyone elses budget in the name of fairness”

sure we know these rules didn’t exist for most of our history and we always outspent everyone else but now we’re making sure nobody else can do it to. That’s all FFP did was solidify their places at the top so outside investment is largely almost irrelevant because you didn’t already have the fan base and deals to spend like is necessary to win

Morally, and if there was any sense of parity and justice, they shouldn’t just be relegated as the media suggests but regulated several times over, to at least League one, if not all the way to the national league or further.

It’s more likely that at worst for them, they’ll suffer enough of a point deduction to stay in the league but be out of Europe, and perhaps a few seasons worth of transfer embargoes on incoming players, or wage cuts which may incentivise some players to leave earlier than they otherwise would.

Even more realistically, they’ll leverage the skill of the best lawyers around and get absolutely jack shit, or perhaps settle things with a couple of “totally legit” payments behind closed doors.

All those clubs deserve to burn - I understand that these clubs need to be profitable as a businessman myself but it should never equate to the erosion, nay, total collapse of the integrity and fair competitive nature of the sport.
