Google MapsAccording to Atlanta Housing, more than half of the Atlanta Student Movement Boulevard project’s units qualify as affordable housing. Current rental rates haven’t been specified. Ashley Scholars Landing’s second phase also includes a 254-space parking garage. The building stands three and four stories, with perks that include a “walking park,” a pool area with cabanas, and 4,500 square feet of amenity space dotted around the community that features micro-offices, a fitness center, and clubroom, per McShane Construction officials. The building, as drawn up by JHP Architecture, is designed to achieve EarthCraft Gold Certification.Phase two is part of a broader mixed-use community with more sections to be built. Integral previously developed Ashley Scholars Landing’s 135-unit initial phase across the street, consisting of two buildings and amenities such as a swimming pool.The developer has described the Ashley complexes as combinations of “affordable and workforce housing units within a harmonious mixed-income community,” where residents can “experience the perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and luxury.”Example of Ashley Scholars Landing II exterior space. Courtesy of McShane Construction CompanyCourtesy of McShane Construction CompanyWith the latest Ashley build, families living in 90 units are expected to receive rental assistance through Atlanta Housing’s Homeflex Program, which that agency credits with increasing access to quality affordable housing for low-income tenants across the city.The Ashley project is also considered part of the Choice Neighborhood Initiative and revitalization of University Homes, the nation’s first public housing development for Black residents. The redeveloped Roosevelt Hall—the last remaining piece of University Homes—stands across the street.JPMorgan Chase & Co. provided more than $30 million in construction financing for Ashley Scholars Landing’s second phase, alongside funding partners that included Atlanta Housing and the Georgia Department of Community Affairs. Other projects under Integral’s Ashley brand include the 304-unit Ashley Auburn Point near MARTA’s King Memorial station, plus other communities in Midtown, West End, and elsewhere.Ashley Scholars Landing’s mixed-income, 135-unit first phase.
