“Ederson, Nathan Ake, Sergio Gomez, Rodri, and Erling Haaland were all back in ManCity training today after respective injury/fitness issues.”

Did anyone not see this coming? Seems it’s a regular occurrence where City players will say they are “injured” to miraculously recover in a week after getting to fly back early.

Liverpool have done it for years under Klopp and I don’t blame them one bit. If I had crucial games coming up I’d be in players’ ears telling them they aren’t guaranteed a game if they fly around the world to play two pointless games within a week.

I’ve said in another comment that no player should do it out of respect for their own country. I can’t think of the time Liverpool players have done it but if they have it’s the same sentiment.

Tsimikas literally missed the game against France to be fit to play against City. Sure he didnt fake an injury, but like another commenter said here, it’s not like they’re fooling anyone. It’s a non-issue and a weird thing to fixate about, and I say that as a Red

Literally this week. Greece played France on Tuesday and he wasnt on the team sheet because he came back to the club early to train and be ready for City on Saturday as Robbo is injured

What do you think the Gravenberch beef with the Netherlands national team is? He refused a call up and they’re excluding him now.

Probably that even when he did go as part of the squad he wasn’t played so was a waste of time. His best chance to get in the squad was probably get up to speed with Liverpool then try and compete.

In the previous comment you said all players shouldn’t decline call ups because it’s disrespectful….

I think there’s a difference between being a starter and important part of the team Vs a rotation player that’s never played. Gravenberch hasn’t made an appearance for Netherlands since 2021. There’s clearly something else there that isn’t just about fitness
