Anyone else watch the Washington game tonight? My first time watching Penix Jr, and I was not impressed. Was this just a bad game for him? Watched him make some questionable throws with the game on the line. Also, why’d he leave the game with an escort wrapped up in what looked like a blanket? Didn’t look like a lot of mental toughness there for a potential first round QB.
lmao penis jr
So one game solidifies your decision? 😂😂😂 Come on man!
As it turns out, though, he is inconsistent. I like Bo Nix and think he wins the Heisman. I do believe he translates well to the NFL.
Bo Nix will effectively be 25 by the end of his rookie year, I’m going to be out on the extended Covid prospects, Pickett finally “figured out” the college game too when he was playing defenses with guys 4 years younger than him. I would much rather lose out and trade up a few slots for Maye or just take Daniels. We should all be rooting to lose and for Kyler and Justin Fields to light shit up, we need more options that don’t involved a Bo Nix at 15 or whatever it is.
Or honestly just trade for Kyler if Arizona is drafting a new man in the first two slots. Dependent on how X or Y feels about him, that may give us a shot at a better HC candidate who would begin with a talented QB with ample NFL experience, he clearly can be a good/dynamic NFL starter with a quality scheme around him, and potentially even better than that if for some reason we actually hit on a difference making HC (never happened lol). Slowik? Bienemy? Staley and McDermott have really screwed us, our HC went from “probably not it” to “definitely not it” in a year where Justin Herbert and Josh Allen are getting new coaches, we will not get Ben Johnson or potentially one of the two above because we will be far down the totem pole without something big changing. I just know Blank/McKay/Terry need to swing for the fences this off-season in multiple regards, “patience” and playing it safe will once again extend the swamp of middling we’ve been in since the beginning of time.
Bo Nix translates when he’s stunk against actual football teams for 3 years but Penix is a ?.
I am sure that’s what I typed.
This game cinched it for me. I’ve been doubtful all year. This cinched it. He’s not first round material for any serious team.
Lol questioning Williams worth ethic? Based on what? Just the fact that you don’t like him for some reason?
Every NFL qb that played for that coach has had maturity and “work ethic” problems.
Why would I like or dislike him? It would have been better if you just made the statement instead of asking such a silly leading question.
No, I don’t know him. I never understood liking or disliking someone that someone else doesn’t know. Come on now. That’s childish.
His work ethic has been called into question multiple times since decision day.
I was never on board with him given his injury history alone.
I don’t like him because I don’t want a QB named Penis on my team.
We should have drafted Penei Sewell and then Penix and Terry Fontenot could continue to assemble various Penis sounding names on the roster until we have an Exodia like offense to fuck other teams with
Nope. So we will probably trade 4 future 1st round picks and throw in Pitts to trade up and get him
We are definitely getting a player from Washington, just not the one you expect.
“With the 10th pick in the 2024 NFL draft, the Atlanta Falcons select Rome Odunze, Wide Receiver, Washington”
you’d still have 25 dudes in here saying, hold up ✋️ let em cook
Wish Penix Jr. the best, hope he’s not on our radar. His medicals are scary af. Gimme that man Jayden tho
Drake maye?
Based on his reasons for not liking Caleb williams or Michael Penix he shouldn’t like drake maye either
As a Hoosier, prior to him transferring there he took a sad IU program to some of their best years which was impressive. But I think he relies on his athletic abilities too much and gambles too much
Love Penix. That said, if he’s on our radar I question everything even more than I do now.
Multiple ACL tears and shoulder injuries. Great dude but I think he’s proven over the past few years that his body simply doesn’t possess the durability required to be a multi-year starter in the NFL.
Jayden or Bo for me!
We are drafting a WR anyway so it doesn’t matter
More like a goal line rb or a block te so that you can try to turn him into a goal line trick play wr
if we draft another rb im killing myself in front of arthur blank
Hes looked like that the last few weeks. Looked great that one game against Oregon. He has a great receiving core that I think he benefits a lot from. Prospect wise, he’s had acl injuries and is like 38 already I wouldn’t wish a first round pick on him on my worst enemy honestly (besides saints), wouldn’t even take him day 2 if I’m the falcons
Nix, McCarthy if he comes out, Maye if he falls to us (somehow), heck even Hartman if we’re drafting low or sometime later are guys I’d be looking at.
I’d advise you to watch some of his film this year before making any judgements, one game is never enough.
Breaking News: Player tightens up when stakes are higher. More at 11.
Yeah drafting a 6th year senior with 0 mobility who has torn his right ACL twice and fucked up his ac joint would be an interesting move considering all the different QBs coming out in the draft.
He has mobility when he needs it. Obviously not as much as when he was at Indiana, but he’s not a statue. Are you worried he’s going to get sacked too much in the pros?
If the medical check out Penix is the guy. He’s like Russel Wilson in college in that he was elite with two different playbooks. Bo Nix is a system QB. Williams is just Sam Darnold.
Thats so smart saying Williams is just like Darnold because they went to the same school.
Having a different head coach and scheme isn’t whats important, its the color of the jersey in judging the prospect.
Has worked out beautifully for people comparing CJ Stroud to Dwayne Haskins and all other prior Ohio State QBs…
It’s not because they go to the same school. It’s because of the turnovers and how they get absolutely rattled with pressure. They “special plays” are wide open college receivers and when they need to play better competition and hit tight windows they don’t consistently.
I haven’t understood the williams hype at all. He’s the same qb making the same dumb mistake by trying to do too much that he was when he started.
