Same way if you’re talking about attacking stats you want a player to be in a high percentile eg 87th percentile for crossing accuracy

I think the best improvement would be using thicker lines to determine offside , yes you’d be giving more of an advantage to the attack but the offside rule wasn’t implemented to rule out goals because the attacker was ahead by mere millimetres.

When they draw the lines for the defenders positioning , I think it should be about double what it currently it.

The two players per position thing hasn’t been true for a while , they just have a lot of players who can play multiple roles and are so flexible , for example Bernardo is probably seen as both a midfielder and attacker but if Bernardo is on the pitch playing as a winger he obviously can’t then be subbed on as a midfielder.
