Under-construction Medley district bags Trader Joe’s, more Josh GreenTue, 02/17/2026 - 00:42Thirteen months after it officially broke ground, the initial phase of Johns Creek’s planned city center continues to rack up notable names as tenants. Trader Joe’s and regional dining favorite Northern China Eatery, which opened a Beltline Eastside Trail location last year, are highlights among the latest wave of retail signings at the mixed-use Medley project in Johns Creek, officials with developer Toro Development Company announced Monday. Other additions will include the latest metro location of Shake Shack, plus Kontour Medical Spa,and Moop’s Boutique, described as “a local north Atlanta brand featuring European-chic apparel and accessories.”For Northern China Eatery, the Medley outpost will mark the first OTP location, following the original in Doraville and new Beltline pitstop. A TDC announcement describes the restaurant as “one of Atlanta’s most beloved culinary destinations” with a “menu of handmade dumplings and buns, as well as rice, noodle, and stir-fry dishes [that] have earned the restaurant a loyal following across the region.”The Medley additions, alongside earlier announced tenants, are considered by TDC officials “the ‘A-players’ in every category.” The project’s 164,000-square-foot retail component is now more than 75 percent leased, according to Kimberly Goetz, TDC’s vice president of leasing. Spread across 43 acres, Medley is scheduled to open its initial phase Oct. 29. “The latest retail momentum further cements Medley as a premier destination for fashion, wellness, dining, and lifestyle experiences,” said Goetz in a statement. altProjected look of Medley’s repurposed office building, next to a standalone restaurant and central plaza. Other announced tenants include CRÚ Food & Wine Bar, 26 Thai Kitchen and Bar, Five Daughters Bakery, Summit Coffee, Lily Sushi Bar, Knuckies Hoagies, Cookie Fix, Sugarcoat Beauty, BODY20, Sephora, Rena’s Italian Fishery & Grill, High Country Outfitters, Fogón and Lions, and BODYROK, among other concepts.Beyond the retail sections, Medley’s revised scope calls for 110,000 square feet of offices and a mix of 883 luxury apartments and townhomes. Last month, TDC officials announced they’ve hired Mainsail Lodging & Development to develop and operate a 150-key hotel that will serves as Medley’s hospitality cornerstone. The to-be-named hotel is expected to be flagged “under a nationally recognized, upper-upscale lifestyle soft brand” with features that include 5,000 square feet of flexible meeting and events space and a signature restaurant linked to an adjacent greenspace, according to TDC officials. Schedules call for the hotel to open in 2028. altA rendering illustrating the scale of Medley’s forthcoming mid-rise hotel (at top right) and other mixed-use components.
