Cosm sets opening date as Centennial Yards centerpiece downtownJosh GreenWed, 03/04/2026 - 14:26A key entertainment component of downtown’s Centennial Yards is set to open precisely one day before the first 2026 FIFA World Cup match in North America is played this year. Officials with Cosm Atlanta today announced the company’s third “immersive entertainment venue” will debut for the public on June 10 by showing Game 4 of the NBA Finals. Remaining tickets for that event in the main dome viewing area, which went on sale today, start at $77 each, including fees.  The initial summer lineup of Cosm’s events downtown was also revealed today. Along with marquee sporting events, productions will feature Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s StoneThe Matrix, and Cirque du Soleil’s show “O.”  altExample of cinematic programming bound for Cosm Atlanta. (Two more Cosm venues are in the works in Cleveland and Detroit.)The three-level Atlanta venue will feature an 87-foot diameter, 12K+ LED dome that’s said to bridge “the gap between the virtual and physical worlds through Shared Reality.” Other components will include a section dotted with large LED screens called “The Hall” that’s billed as the ultimate game-day sports bar, plus a swanky rooftop venue dubbed “The Deck” with downtown stadium views.   Project officials have said the Atlanta venue—part of a flurry of construction activity at 50-acre, $5-billion Centennial Yards, including the district’s second topped-out hotel—will expand on the foundational design of those in California and Texas while incorporating character that reflects Centennial Yards and the city at large. It broke ground in summer 2024 and topped out last May. 2026 FIFA World Cup matches in Atlanta are set to kick off June 15 downtown.altPlanned look of Cosm’s “The Dome” component at Centennial Yards, an immersive venue for live sports and art shows.
