Surely it would place a massive asterisk on all the trophies won during his time at Man City? In future discussions on the greatest manager would this be a talking point which stains our perception on him? Or will he still be lauded as the greatest by some despite the wider context?
It doesn’t matter, no matter what people have already decided to asterisk city.
On every post on here about city people already call them cheats and say they don’t care about city’s success.
The legacy will be exactly the same because people have already decided how they feel.
If there guilty people will just go “finally”
If there found not guilty it will be “corruption”.
Then the circle continues and the next club will be blamed because there all cheating in varies degrees (if you didn’t know)
It does change slightly, as it becomes officially recognised rather than just being something people accuse them of.
