Surely it would place a massive asterisk on all the trophies won during his time at Man City? In future discussions on the greatest manager would this be a talking point which stains our perception on him? Or will he still be lauded as the greatest by some despite the wider context?

The club didn’t cheat on their financials to get rich. The owners are already wealthy beyond what most of us can comprehend.

If proven that they indeed cheated, it was because it gave them the ability to recruit, sign, retain, and turnover their roster well above what other clubs could financially afford to do.

Jose Mourinho said the second best team in the Premier League was City’s B team. It wasn’t because of Pep’s outstanding training techniques and in game management skills. It was because they could afford to sign the best roster in all of soccer because it is asserted they cheated on their financials to appear to be earning more revenue.

If I can type in a cheat code that lets me upgrade everything in a video games and destroy the competition, surely doesn’t make me the best at the game.

Pep is a great coach but everything MC has accomplished under current ownership will be tainted if the charges are proven to be true.

Not being cheeky but United can and have signed who ever they want on the same wages. They are still awful. Money on its own does not buy success in this league
