  • I think City robbed themselves. The so-called best team in the world couldn’t beat and conceded three at home to what is basically mostly our second string where we didn’t have one senior centre back in the squad.

City will need to look a little closer to home on this one.

The referee has obviously gotten himself completely caught in two minds but there’s absolutely no guarantee Grealish scores at all as Davies and Royal were getting around him and the keeper would have likely rushed out, also.

  • The City one was a mistake (and I can admit that as a Spurs fan) but not a wrong decision. It was a foul and it was a booking for Royal because he cynically tried to bring Haaland down to waste time.

He’s obviously got caught in two minds whether to pull it up then or not and has ended up getting it arse about face.

There is absolutely no guarantee Grealish would have scored though so City acting like it was a definite goal was the height of arrogance. Davies and Royal were coming round and Vicario is no slouch in these situations either.

Haaland should have been off with a three game ban for screaming abuse in the referee’s face and continuing to scream and swear at him after. The bloke is an absolute twat and they need to come down on these things.

  • Any team that had the players out that we have had would struggle. Yes, we do need players in January, I don’t think anyone has said otherwise but this is the main reason. Decimate a team over the course of three games of eight of its best players and even Champions League winning teams would seriously struggle with that. This has been freakish.

The club is only at the start of having Ange’s mentality and style drilled into them - if anything, we are now being shown as victims of our early success. It usually takes him at least a season to get everything to the level he wants it at.

We’ve tried pragmatic with Dier and Davies at the back in the last three/four seasons and it’s been a complete disaster. I don’t know why anyone thinks Ange trying what has already failed comprehensively (as well as what is against his beliefs) will succeed. The only reason we won games at all when we tried pragmatic low block football is because we had Kane and we don’t even have him now.

Spurs fans are behind this and we knew there would be bumps in the road.

  • Hard to say.

Ange has won stacks of trophies wherever he’s been but always get “it’s a weak league” thrown at him, he’s also had it hardest to get noticed being Australian.

Ange has also gone to every club he has been at and completely turned the culture around. Yes, we have lost 2 after having a chunk of our first team decimated in one game (through ill discipline and bad luck) but we lost one of our greatest ever players at the start of the season and the shift and culture change has been seismic.

Pochettino will always have a monkey on his back until he wins a trophy in a competitive competition.

Arteta is not in the conversation but will be if he, unfortunately, wins the league.

RDZ, Howe - good managers but a step down.
