Every fucking time we go to the doctor or something similar we make sure the services are covered in our plan and every time we end up with a bill between 600-1000 dollars that we have to waste time contesting because someone at some step used the wrong code or whatever. In fact, and I am not even joking, I literally got billed today for an appointment for my son that was supposed to be a $20 copay, and now they are asking for $900. I work at a multi-billion dollar company and this is the sort of insurance nonsense I deal with. I don’t even blame my employer either. It should never fall on their shoulders to provide this service.
