Torys dont do this sort of thing off their own back. Remember how they’d only feed kids because of Marcus Rashford? Its not likely they’re putting the interest to any worthy cause.

I dont know if many would have predicted Brentford having much higher xg after losing Toney to the ban. Pretty impressive.
Instead Everton provided him a safehouse and the support he needed during that time.
That is how you protect people’s mental health.
Yes, this 1st line is how.
Them not suing isn’t really part of that. They didn’t sue because they would have had to wait to see if there was a case there for it. He was acquitted so its likely a lawsuit wouldn’t have held up. Not sure why the PL would have advised it without waiting on a guilty verdict.
protecting a player X’s mental welfare by not suing him
This isn’t how you protect people’s mental health. You cant pat yourselves on the back for not suing someone. I guess you’re talking about Sigurdsson who was acquitted so no lawsuit would have held up anyway.
Our overspending was entirely related to the new stadium being built and the independent commission’s ruling even states we gained ‘no competitive advantage’ from it.
Are infrastructure improvements like new stadiums not exempt from the FFP calculations? Pretty sure they were last I checked.
‘a business decision’ not to sell or sue Gylfi Sigurdsson
Surely Everton wouldn’t have been able to sue him unless he was found guilty. I can’t see how it would hold up otherwise. He was acquitted in the end.
I should probably clarify that I mean generally Liverpool and Arsenal have finished higher than Man Utd. If we really broke it down Spurs would also have a title. Its obviously not going to happen though so Spurs can dream on with their dusty cabinet.
Most of the seasons since Fergie left would end up going to Arsenal and Liverpool rather than Man Utd. Theres only 2 times you’ve come 2nd since.
Chelsea aren’t really in disarray anymore. The worst of the transition is done as the owners took such an aggressive approach to just rip the plaster off and get to building the team as fast as possible.
I feel Chelsea have a better chance of winning the PL 1st as their situation is more of a glass half full one. Man Utd are more glass half empty with this air about the club that suggests the culture isn’t great at the moment.
Chelsea have pretty much a blank canvas of players for Poch to work with. Theres been a big emphasis on cultivating a healthy culture at the club. The club structure now is also set in place and functioning as it is meant to now.
With Man Utd I just feel that they’ll continue to stutter with patches of good form and then some nonsense drama with a player or 2 will stink the place up again.
Nkunku was mostly the CF for Leipzig last season.
I know Sterling has been up and down as well but he at least brings a decent bit of pace to an otherwise slower side
Slower side? Aye? The youngest team in the PL with players like Mudryk, Noni, Reece, Gallagher, Caicedo etc make up for a slow side? CBs like Colwill, Badiashile and Chalobah also aren’t exactly slow.
One of the best 1 season wonders theres been.
