The only purpose of FFP is to protect the big old club like United, Arsenal and Liverpool. If they want to level the playing field they should use salary cap/budget cap. Leicester won the league than their stat players were brought by the big club and relegated. So with FFP club like United can squander 100m+ on transfer ever season and even if they were not in top4 every season they can still afford to do so because they have great commercial revenue. Other smaller clubs even they slowly develop themselves to be successful but one wrong window/poor season can break them and they can hardly get up again. Expected thousands of downvotes from fans of those big old clubs because they deserved to be successful forever and other late comers should not be allowed to catch up with them. And any breach if financial regulations deserved demotion to National League. Funny fans always use Juventus as examples and they seems doesn’t know that Juventus was demoted for buying referees, which I think is much more severe than breaking FFP but of coz spending more on players is way worse than buying referee in their minds.
