Allison caught the whole team by surprise, Van Dijk and Matip also got “rinsed.” It was a good counter attack off a large distribution error. Trent made a lot of big defensive plays today
When trent is asked to play defensively, he is competent and solid. When he is asked to be a CAM, DM, RB and RM, his defensive skills fall by the wayside. He would improve the defensive capabilities of pretty much every team in Europe. Doku can beat anybody, but trent shut him down today.

This is the first bad game he’s had in two years, and the one he conceded with the scuffed kick was a slip on the grass which happens to everyone. He is the best keeper in the world at the moment bar none. He also obviously had an injury in his leg today, his jumping wasn’t as good as it normally is. Ederson absolutely makes mistakes on occasion as well.

I am an LFC fan, and Salah has crazy goal numbers, but Son is a better player on technical values. I would say absolutely. I have watched about half of all the games this season, and good god is it hard to sit there and wait for calls. It feels like the NFL at times
