Correct, cause they broke the rules. That’s how it should work.

Cause they get a lot of nice media their way. At least imo

Make a relegation system for refs. End of the season the managers/ head coaches will vote for or against refs. 3 worse refs are dropped, 3 best (from lower leagues) promoted. Each manager will get 1 vote per ref, and this will happen 2 weeks after last game of the season (to give them time to review games).

Also do fan interviews after games for the media. Fans will be brutal after games and force them actually address controversy.
