      Probably what all “good cops” think, “I can change the system from within” or “It’s just a couple outlier bad cases, but I’ll make sure to only prosecute actual bad people”

              The issues are systemic and won’t be solved by replacing people.

              As one example, it would be 100% legal in many states for a bad cop to rape a prisoner. No matter how many good cops testify against them, there would be no legal basis for prosecuting them. At best, department policy would give cause to fire them. Then they’ll get a job in some county with an elected sheriff who ran on being Tough On Crime ™.

      Gonna keep the border safe and stop bad people coming into the country illegally.

      Instead (or more likely, eventually), he got “gonna round up anybody who ‘fits the description’ and unperson them into the Dade-Collier concentration camp”
