        That wasn’t the example. You are falling into the exact statements that people who have given up do: it’s less bad.

        Neither is helping the drowning victim: it doesn’t matter if one is nice or otherwise. Where is the lifeguard? Stop accepting less bad and start seeking a change. Look around. This is where the status quo of ‘less bad’ has gotten us.

        I feel you on the sentiment but nobody should have to hit that level of acceptance.

          There is no lifeguard. So do you want someone trying to drown you, or someone who’s going to leave you alone so maybe you can tread water until a lifeguard comes around or you figure out how to swim?

            The example is lost on you here- you are warping it to construct a completely different outcome.

            It’s like taking the trolley problem and saying ‘oh I’d just build wings on it and make a third option to fly away’
