After four fall-offs, the process usually comes to a halt on its own?

Well this sounds about as bad as the model 3 and the control arm recall.

causing the wheel to fall off, increasing the likelihood of a crash.

    I agree with that assessment.

Just tell your passengers to shift their mass to the area of the vehicle in the triangle formed by the remaining three wheels.

Now, I’m no expert, but, that’s like the #1 thing a vehicle shouldn’t do. That and randomly exploding. I’m I wrong here? Is really Tesla 0/2 on the most basic things vehicles shouldn’t do?

If it’s on fire. The vehicle should go into lock down and seal itself shut to starve the fire if oxygen. Duh!

Especially battery electric cars that burn without oxygen should do that to contain the fumes which otherwise would endanger people nearby.

There’s nothing wrong with glue. Every windshield you see is glued in, most hoods are glued together, every exterior trim on most modern cars is glue. every manufacturer uses probably 80 pounds of adhesives in a car.

Glue is great. When it’s done right.

When this story came out last month that is what was being reported, the 173 was all of the RWD cybertrucks sold.

However it only effects certain build dates:

Some reports have suggested that the recall number of 173 reveals a staggeringly low number of RWD Cybertrucks made, but Tucker says this isn’t the case. The recall applies to trucks built on certain dates using a specific shipment of lug nuts and grease, and cars with 18-inch wheels produced on certain dates. He says it’s a “subset of a subset” of Cybertrucks.

About 59,000 trucks across all models, in two years.

Which is about how many F-150s Ford sells in a month.
