Also it will be priced at $60USD, and doesn’t require an Internet connection to play.

I got it for free from Epic. It was a few years ago around the holidays. I think I’ve seen it again since then. Edit: oh this is a steam deck community…

Yeah I remember it being free on Epic Games Store. They gave lot of pretty good games away, and lot of people just sign there up for the free games. So that library cannot be ignored (and shouldn’t). It can be added manually to the Library view, but one has to go to Desktop mode and install and manage Epic Games account with Heroic Games Launcher. There is even a plugin for Decky Loader to automate some processes for you and integrate game into the Steam Library: https://github.com/mubaraknumann/unifideck I don’t use Epic Games, so cannot talk from personal experience.

You’ll enjoy the first one. Full of atmosphere and controls feel great. +Hints at connected universe with Alan wake.

I kinda want to go back and play it again (for the 4th time)

Deck getting more support = Linux getting more support. That’s awesome, hopefully it get other dev doing the same, better yet releasing native version.

Im happy that the games who are pushing the cutting edge aren’t really games that have much longevity beyond their release. Where games that cater to the Steam Deck (and by extension, older gaming PCs) continue to be talked about for years and still getting sales and support.

I am holding my expectations of course, but this is a sign of things to come. Oooh, if gaming goes full linux support, that’ll be super fun to watch MS burn to ashes.

The first game is so nice. Only thing off is the enemy variety. But that seems to be solved in the sequel. Let’s go!

Probably that they’re actively testing in on Deck through Proton, fixing related issues, and adjusting performance to make sure it’s a good experience.
