I filled up the inside of the Norwegian wood stack and I have quite a lot of wood left to split. So I’ll start growing the outer stack again. But not today: it’s time for a beer now 🙂

Norwegian wood stacks hold an amazing amount of wood in a tiny space. This stack currently holds over 1 1/2 cords and it’s not finished.
I have no idea 🙂 This is my first Norwegian wood stack - and I made the mistakes none of the explanations I read warned about building it too. I assume I’ll just take it apart slowly from the top down.
That’s unlikely to happen: I expect this thing will contain over 2 cords of wood when I’m done. I don’t go through that much wood in a winter 🙂
Not to mention, I have one other - rather big - traditional stack, a smaller one, and a shed full of already-dry wood. I had to fell many trees on the property last year.
What I might do is sell some if it becomes too dry or rotten, and then buy some unsplit wood and build a new stack for the exercise.
