And portals? I don’t know quite how ‘ultimate’ this luck is, but you’d have to be extremely lucky for portals to just randomly appear when you want them. Maybe if random portals were a normal part of our everyday lives, then luck could cause you to always find just the portal you wanted. But I don’t know if there’s any amount of luck in the world that could cause magical portals to just appear out of nowhere. To me, being lucky means you’ll always get the best possible outcome when things are left to chance … but that doesn’t cover outcomes that are impossible.
Almost any of these could be replicated with ‘ultimate luck’ if you stretch the idea enough.
Flawless memory? Just guess – you’re lucky enough to be right every time, so you don’t need to remember things.
Animal communication? – Guess what the animal is saying, and you’ll be lucky enough to guess right. Ask them to do something, and you’ll be lucky enough that they randomly do it.
Weather control? – Why control it when you can just always have perfect luck with the weather and don’t even need to think about it?
Wardrobe? – Sure would be lucky if you just randomly found the perfect clothes whenever you needed them.
Fine dining? – Just wander around when you’re hungry, and I’m sure you’ll be lucky enough to just randomly come across opportunities for wonderful free meals.
Calorie immunity? – Maybe you’re lucky enough to have great genetics and a high metabolism, so you never need to worry about it.
