    Rankin County sheriff’s deputies tortured people suspected of drug use to extract information and confessions.

    The more I read things about Mississippi and Alabama, the less likely I want to ever step foot in these states due to their instant forms of Justice they seem to use so often without due process.

      I lived in Louisiana for several years. It has its own problems but not as bad as the rest of the Gulf Coast. I had to pass through Mississippi and Alabama a few times and it always frightened me. It’s just swamp everywhere and you know that it would be easy to disappear someone.

    My highschool buddy was beaten with a ruler for using her left hand when she attended elementary school in Mississippi. The teacher would smack her knuckles with a wooden ruler and schools her for using “the devil’s hand.”

    This was in the 90s and she attended public school…
