This is the one Russian ship I’m actually a little sad about being sunk. That thing just refused to die for so long.
Vova the museum robber
As someone who loves old and historically significant machinery, the amount of history that has been lost during this war really makes me sad. Miriya the AN225, Kommuna the 110 year old vessel that has served three iterations of the Russian government, the weird radiation proof personnel transporter they lost a few weeks ago. Even all the old tanks and personnel transporters that could have ended up in the hands of collectors, it’s all stuff that has been lost, and can never be regained.
I slap myself every morning because the AN225’s last flight was literally from my backyard airport to Ukraine and I didn’t go see it because “it was a little chilly”.
Yeah, it’s sad to see unique bits of history fall foul of the whims of a tyrant. In the same Vance, the historical sites in the Middle East being destroyed by fundamentalists is a tragedy.
After watching the video in this thread, the title sums up my feelings exactly.

I saw this ship in The Kommuna - Russia’s Bizarre 110 Year Old Warship By Calum on Youtube. Guess she was finally put to rest.
Calum makes great videos! I love his stuff
What vessel?

I tried googling “Russian Ship damaged or sunk Ukraine conflict” and Google came back with “Lol! Which one?”
I tried to find a list of sunken Russian warships on Wikipedia but it told me to help expand it.
Well don’t just sit there, soldier, get your controller and launch your Sea Baby.
