“Bad news” is not the issue. “The ongoing deterioration of both my rights and my standard of living” is the issue!
Yup. It seems the news is like 90% bad news, 5% weather, and 5% sports.
Take the sports however you will, but the weather is getting even worse lately, so that’s basically 95% bad news.
and 5% sports
I am a Broncos fan, so we’re sitting at a solid 100% bad news.
Oh there’s always some chucklefuck punching his girlfriend or driving his Lambo 200 mph through a school zone so it’s probably more like 97-98% tbh
We need to revive that word… chucklefuck…
“It is no measure of health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society.” -J. Krishnamurti
Use a goddamned question mark.
At this point it’s not so much a question as it is a statement
Invert the subject and verb and my response woulda just been a nod
Can you rewrite what you mean? My brain hurts
They mean the author should have used “you are” instead of “are you” to make it a statement instead of a question.
“are you” equals question, except there was no question mark.
Huh‽
Which god are you invoking, though
Yes.
I saw this post sandwiched between an article about the supreme court ruling and an article about how the far right is likely to get a majority in France.
Yeah, but the difference is France will go crazy and actually start cutting heads off until they are not the majority.
Bet
Por que no los dos?
Glad we’re no longer calling it “empathy fatigue” that’s just one facet of it. “Burn out” is much closer to what it is.
I’ve literally never heard that term in my life.
Despair and having no time to even improve your own life due to endless grind to survive.
Obsessing about all those bad things, instead of the things you can change, is not helpful, though.
Is there a difference?
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Yes
Agreed.
Despair seems like a reasonable reaction to me.
