If you assume that the righteous are always blessed with prosperity, then it can be assumed that the poor are poor because they are wicked.
Breaks down pretty quickly when you remember that wealthy people can be wicked (Matthew 19:24 makes a good argument that it’s difficult for them to be anything else), and that good people often go through really hard times (e.g. Job)
Too bad Jesus didn’t have anything to say about how his followers should treat the destitute 🤷♂️

I guess I don’t understand what you’re asking then. Someone else said you meant Trump. And yes, he deserved to be prosecuted for his crimes as anyone else does… but I would also say that people should not work against unfair laws that are only designed to hurt people, which would include SCOTUS’ decisions to let presidents commit crimes and criminalize the homeless.
Just because SCOTUS made a ruling in Dred Scot doesn’t mean anyone should agree with it.
