As a fan of everything about Tron, every word you used to describe Maleficent is the opposite of what I want out of a Tron movie.
Does tron have some complex lore that deserves that? Like comics or books or some basis? Hasn’t it always been fairly simplistic and a spectacle?
Do you consider The Matrix to be fairly simplistic because it doesn’t come from a comic or book series?
Both of those aren’t so bad imo.

I think he’s an awful actor, but that’s probably not what people are reacting to.
He has a reputation of being difficult to work with as an actor. He also allegedly runs a cult, where he has been accused of taking advantage of young female acolytes.
It’s both. He’s difficult to work with, but also his acting is so bad he makes most movies he’s in worse than they could be.
Plenty of Hollywood actors are assholes, but if they’re good enough at acting they’re forgiven. Jared Leto is not good enough to get away with it.
It’s both plus he is dragging down movies I want to be enjoyable. If he was ruining rom coms or something I wouldn’t care.

Allegations against Leto have been documented as far back as 2005 when a report in the New York Post alleged that Leto texted teenagers and seemed to have an attraction to younger girls. In a now-deleted message board, multiple women posted that Leto took advantage of them when they were underage.

I enjoyed legacy. It wasn’t the movie I was expecting, and it has rough parts, but overall I found it fun, particularly the action scenes and the sound track.
I will also plan to see this one.

I’m so not stoked for this… Apart from being a reboot, bringing Tron to the real world smells like budget cuts to make the movie. I seriously think it will suck, but the soundtrack will rock.
