Don’t talk to me or my son ever again.
Don’t talk to me or my dad ever again
We once had a whole family of cats - father, mother, and three kittens - and the one male kitten, Charlie, absolutely REVERED his father, Jake. He would often sit or lay next to his Papa, always taking the same position.
One of my favorite photos was when Jake was getting old, with his fur getting raggedy, and he was looking out a window, with Charlie next to him, in the same position, but with his front leg over his father’s shoulders, comforting him.
They’re both gone now, but I hope they are together, wherever they are now.

He’s got his mom’s paws
Not just paws. He’s got white fur on chest too.
New wallpaper just dropped.
The “Kubrick Stare" is one of Stanley Kubrick’s most recognizable directorial techniques, a method of shot composition where a character stares at the camera with a forward tilt, to convey to the audience that the character in question is at the peak of their derangement.
Heeeeeeeeeres Charlie!
This is what i look like wandering around in life and I wonder why people dont approach me.
I walk with purpose, usually squinting, jaw set, and a straight face. I’m looking straight forward and ignoring eye contact and nods of acknowledgement.
I see, in my peripheral vision, people glance at me and I dont return it- even if I’ve decided they’re of interest.Just all around a warm and welcoming vibe.
Animals making direct eye contact with the camera in images is an ai tell.
No it’s not. I have hundreds of photos on my phone, that I took myself, of my cats staring directly in to the camera that say otherwise. It’s dead simple to make an animal, especially a cat, look at the camera. You just make a “psst psst” sound, or dangle something floppy right above the camera while taking the photo.
Mocha would like to have a word with you.
And so would Casper.I can go on if you’d like.
I think we need a few more.
You know, just to be sure.
This is AI though right? Not real kitties.
The white and black blur in between the cats is clearly trying to be a tail but the color and placement are wrong. The pile in the top right doesn’t make sense, the stairs leading to a square door set at an angle from the stairs is wrong, and the building to the left of that makes no sense either. Plus the overly rich texture of the stairs

You just used ChatGPT to write that haha

There will come a time when AI images are indistinguishable from the real thing. It’s already possible with inanimate objects, but I haven’t seen a convincing AI living thing yet.

Agreed, it’s aggravating. It might be necessary to include (not AI) in the description or something since so many people seem to want to be AI detectives now.

That’s an option, too! I’d just want to try to head such comments off so I don’t have to call them out.
AI is a problem right now, your frustration is proof enough of that. This will only continue to get worse, unfortunately.
Great photo, btw.

Oh sure OK, there isn’t a larger issue here at all, it’s just people being dumb. Sure pal.

The frustration rather shows that The AI hate brigade that sees AI behind everything is a problem.
Making an absolute ass out of themselves again and again, being wrong, self righteous, self aggrandising and, most importantly, absolutely annoying.
When people question if every photo is real or fake, thats a problem, and if you don’t recognize that you’re a fool.
Oh, it Is a problem. The Problem is that people are morons though.
This is very clearly not AI.
It’s not an accusation, it was a question.
I don’t have strong feelings about AI art, I just enjoy going over the tiny details that makes it look so AI-y. That’s why I commented instead of searching - I was hoping for discussion more than I wanted an answer.
Your detailed response was the kind of thing I was hoping for. I just could’ve done without the unnecessary defensiveness, but otherwise thanks!
Not real kitties.
That’s not a question, feels like an accusation.

It’s hard to tell, but I think it’s real, that black and white blur perfectly could be another cat on the background.
Edit: intended to write blur but it autocorrected to blue.
I also think it’s real. If it is AI, it’s better than any I’ve seen of a cat so far.
As an expert in cats, I can say yes, that black blur and the way it blends into the white looks exactly like the pattern you often see on the back of a black and white cat.
