- Mom can we get some Leslie Nielsen? - Sorry, best I can do is Liam Neeson. - Same initials at least, but Neeson does do comedy, I’ll give it a shot - It’s that serious delivery he does so well lol. This Ted 2 scene was brilliant
- I love his improv - He was also really good on his episode of Derry Girls. If this movie isn’t funny, I don’t think it’ll be his fault.

- This trailer doesn’t really have the same vibe as the original. Some funny bits though. Maybe it will be good? - I’m not sure Seth MacFarlane can quite pull off the ZAZ dumb humor, but no one thought of Leslie Nielsen as a comedic actor before Airplane, so I can give Liam Neeson a chance in the role. - I definitely think the weak link will be Seth McFarlane. You can see in the trailer that there are a lot of jokes that lean more into the sophmoric rather than the absurd. - Also, it feels too angry.

- Just fucking no.

- All in.
- I made it to the part where Liam rips the arms off the bad guy and stopped watching. That’s only ten seconds into the trailer!
- I like the jokes they’re making, as there seems to be hope that it’s a spiritual successor rather than just another sequel/rehash.
One can hope. Loved the originals.
- That’s casting I would least expect. - Nielsen wasn’t considered a comedic actor before his role in Airplane and he was cast because they wanted him to bring the serious, dramatic actor presence/reputation to the role, so it’s worked before - Oh I didn’t mean it in a bad way. The dramatic Neeson with Naked Gun style humor worked on me. I don’t remember the original movies that much but I felt it did have similar energy.

- It’s nice to see those ridiculous gags, just simple stuff. Old movie before was either catch the joke or miss it. This trailer is pretty basic tho. - I just hope it doesn’t get cringe.
- “I went up and down areas with a cosh, hoping I’d be approached by somebody - I’m ashamed to say that - and I did it for maybe a week, hoping some [uses air quotes with fingers] ‘black bastard’ would come out of a pub and have a go at me about something, you know? So that I could kill him.” - Liam Nelson
