Why is singing the deciding factor? She is a princess in a franchise owned by Disney, is that not enough?
I’d wager some innocent soul thought they were being clever by pointing out what makes a disney princess, and then more innocent souls lapped it up to feel like they’re “in the know.”
Kairi is a Disney Princess and that was a centerpiece of the plot in her story, but she does not sing as far as I know. Certainly not in the first game where this lore was established.

I am pretty sure it’s just because she is a princess who is now owned by Disney. It’s not like every disney princess sings a song. Jasmine, Merida, Raya, and Aurora never sang shit.
