I think both clubs are in disarray in their own ways. Both have great managers but not idea players. United have good players on paper but who seem to have really poor attitudes and undermine the manager eventually.

Chelsea have spent a lot of money but have a completely new squad who have had little time together and are very raw.

It’s easy to say “Chelsea should because they spent 1bn”. But I am talking about their current squads, manager, board, situation etc

    Man United because they have some world class players (or players that recently were). If they hadn’t had an utterly brain dead transfer window they should have been competing this season.

    Chelsea have no world class players and no one really looks like getting to that level. Maybe Nkunku will be a total game changer but Chelsea are a couple of transfer windows from even being top 4 contenders.

    Only difference is that Poch is the better manager but they’ll probably sack him before the end of the season.
