This is a time-honored tradition of all young trick-or-treaters. Not even Christmas lets you see this much candy in one place at one time. It must be measured to truly appreciate it.
Don’t think I ever did this.
one of the best parts of all of my cousins and kids of family friends’ getting together and coming back to the house after our haul was to take inventory and trade
I never liked candy (other than gummies). Seemingly unrelatedly, my older brother and I were never close.
As a kid, I always appreciated the apparent good will I got from giving him all my non-gummi candy on Halloween.
it’s interesting that you grew up to be a nerd.

that wouldn’t make sense with their comment though.
I wonder what the cash value of that is. I’m guessing at least $50 worth of candy there right?
God damn that is quite a haul.
I would always go out until the pillow case started to give. Never occurred to me that I could never eat all of that candy before it went stale.
Looks like they knocked on every door in the city!
I hope the kid is planning to eat that over a period of about 6 years. There is enough sugar in that pile to kill a family of four.
I used to collect way more candy than that when I was a kid going out on Halloween! It did not last 6 years. Maybe 1 month at most!
And if you’re wondering: no, I was not fat as a kid. I was very skinny. I spent tons of time outside, riding my bike and playing with friends. I didn’t really start to become an indoor video game nerd until early high school. Coincidentally, I also stopped going out for Halloween and I started gaining weight!
Getting fat is only one downside degrading your islet cells.
But to be fair, if the kid has an otherwise healthy lifestile she’ll be totally okay.
That’s what i was wondering too. How many kids are they trying to kill?
It’s a bar chart
For Thanksgiving she’ll do a pie graph…
Too much tylenol
Don’t forget it’s also advils fault as well.
I too loves me some knolling.
The full size goes at the top, as a header.
See, now this is the fun part of Halloween!
This is the content I look for.
Disappointing lack of Freddos.
Too expensive these days
I’m in this picture, and I don’t like it. 🎃
I feel like I’m an outlier, but I somehow just disliked Reeses. I think KitKats, Skittles, M&Ms, fruit snacks, were my favorite. I remember being warned about evil strangers putting blades in stuff and since lolipops are kinda not completely sealed, I remember being afraid of those lolipops lol.
Anyways, that was over a decade ago, childhood-me is gone.
I like the little reeses “Christmas bells”, the reeses pieces and sometimes the mini-cups, but not the full size cup. The peanut butter they use is way too sugary sweet to have in a large quantity.
She’s doing it wrong. It shouldn’t be by brand, it should be by content. So, peanuts and chocolate is one category, where Reese’s and Peanut M&Ms belong, for instance. Plain M&Ms go with the Hersey’s bars. Also, she should be sorting these into bags, but I suppose that can come after the pictures.
I would argue they are sorted by content.
You’ve got the different types, chocolate with candy shells, chocolate with wafer centre, chocolate with peanut butter centre.
Then in this case the chocolate with candy shells have been further categorised into the sub-categories plain and peanut chocolate. Smarties could go in this higher level group as well.
We don’t need a Dewey Candy System, sorting by types is the way to go
LOL, DBAs and sorting methods are like a group trying to agree on pizza
topicstoppings! (Edit: fixed spelling)
No, it has to be by color, shape and size of the packaging.

If you want to hand out the kale next year for Halloween. No one’s stopping you.
Too much sugar for a child. Children have no self-control with sweets.
Are we looking at the same child, meticulously sorting their candy into neat, measured rows?
If that ain’t self-control on Halloween, I don’t know what is!
