The barely concealed subtext is that voters didn’t choose candidates because they liked their platforms; they’re just mindlessly following their new overlord.
Unfortunately that is not helpful for building a shared understanding. But I understand if you don’t wish to clarify and appreciate that you took the time to express yourself without any desire to help others to better understand what you attempted to express.
