If I remember correctly, it’s not really a prototype of the P90, but rather a “workshop model” or something like that. It’s not meant to resemble the final product in any way, or even a usable weapon. Its sole purpose is to test that the internal mechanisms work. Badically, it’s the firearm equivalent of the Northrop Tacit Blue.
Either that, or it’s the army variant of the Bosch vacuum we had in the kitchen when I was a kid.
