FYI those masks are actually likely to kill the person wearing them, they spool like early Soviet T-34s or collapse like a soda can. Basically if you are shooting at someone wearing one of these ballistic masks aim for the face it’s easier than shooting through their body armor.
Note there are semi effective ballistic masks it’s just that they tend to be one time use due to practical reasons and they sure as shit ain’t these ones.
It’s going to be hard for future historians to write about our times because there will just be too many sources.

And that would trigger more rioting and violence spreading beyond NY. It would be a catastrophically stupid move on Trump’s part. So probably by end of the month.

So I’m mixed on this. For one, I know it’d be a horribly bad thing if they do do this. It’d be blatantly the wrong thing to do. However, I think we need something to push people over the edge to make them force real change. If the Trump adm. does this, that would have to be a step too far for almost everyone, right? It could actually put us on the path to fixing things.
Obviously, I don’t want them to do this, but I’m conflicted because I think it could lead us down a (very perilous) path to fix the nation.
We probably also need other states to plan similar implementations as Mamdani so the wealthy don’t simply pull their businesses elsewhere.
