I’m amazed Newsmax has any money left for lawsuits after they lost to Dominion Voting Systems.
They slunk away with paying a fraction of what they would have lost under serious, competent leadership. As it was, Dominion was lucky to get paid before trump SuperPardoned them or whatthefuckever insanity he’d barf up.
Seems the big payout was Fox News paying $750 million to settle. Dominion and SmartMatic sued Newsmax for a combined $107 million. Shortly after settling Newsmax went IPO and recouped all that money (and then some).
They are in a better position than Fox and are drawing more and more viewers since Trump took office. I think Trump even said he watches more Newsmax than Fox at one point but that could be a hallucination.
Newsmax seems to think it can fight Fox and win. Let’s see how this plays out.

A short, costly, and devastating litigation generally means one side won desively. The matter was dismissed without going anywhere.
I want motions being filed every step,a long discovery, pointless court appearance, and more. I want these fuckers to spend money and time in litigation where no one really won due the amount resources spent. I want the only people making any money is the lawyers. I want expensive lawyers who charge ridicolous sums for their services. I want Johnny Depp and Amber Heard level of aminosity.
I want them to drag Robert Murdoch’s undead corpse onto the stand. I want them go into the depths of hell to get Newsmax CEO Christopher Ruddy to give a deposition.
I want this to be humilating and very public. This a major issue in the right wing propaganda machine.
During all this, I want to sit and eat a bag of buttery popcorn. That is what a long, messy, costly litigation means.
I want it to drag on long enough that it splits the far right into two factions and they start reporting things to slander the “other side”

I honestly hope they destroy and bankrupt each other. We literally can’t mention politics anymore or else it will turn into a shouting match, because she is so brainwashed and propaganda-addled and gets angry when I literally back myself up with evidence that I show her right then.
