Just a point deduction seems too light for me. All titles won during the times they fudged their numbers should be stripped, and they should be relegated at least twice.

Didn’t Villa pay something like 50 million for Diaby? And how much did Wolves pay for Cunha? Or West Ham for Haller? Or Everton for Gylfi?
I’m not sure what Wolves has done to PGMOL, but I don’t think there is any team that gets shafted more than Wolves this season. Today was just horrid. Three huge mistakes in one single game. O’Neil has every right to complain today. And I hope other managers will join him (looking at you, Arteta and Klopp). Because this is just unacceptable.
It all depends on Rodri staying fit/not getting the cards he deserves to get. Without him City is a lot worse.
I don’t think Villa will challenge for the title, but I can see them challenge for top 4.
Another thing about Villa is that I hate their new badge, it just looks like Chelsea.
Nah. Place your hand on the ball, run 10 rounds around the ball with your hand still on it and then shoot.
At Sheffield they lost their best player just before the season and are hit hard by injuries. Not even Klopp or Guardiola could do much with that. Burnley got a record amount of points last year with Kompany, the Premier League might be a size too big for them at the moment, but why sack Kompany? Who will do a better job with this squad?
I strongly agree on the third point. Stuttered run-ups should be banned. Not to mention that players look so stupid when they do a weird walkup and miss (looking at you, Zaza).
I kinda miss Xhaka. Zaha and Mitrovic were also entertaining.
Defoe was around for a long time, I think he only retired a couple of years ago.
I looked it up, he only retired a year and a half ago.
That depends on the injury too. For example, if you see somebody break his leg like Hendrik Larsson or Aaron Ramsey you just assume they will be out for at least the rest of the season, meanwhile with other injuries, like that of Timber, it’s a lot harder to say.
It took me a while to realize that Espnuk is ESPN UK.
Part of that is that nations have no incentive not to play certain players. For them the only thing that matters is winning their games.
We could do with less international friendlies.
This new rule could work for leagues with VAR. However, since most people who play football don’t have VAR I don’t think this will help at all.
If charged I hope all their titles get stripped too. Not awarded to any other team, just stripped.
They have 26 games left. Getting 3 more points than the bottom 3 in 26 games should be doable for Everton.
They need 2 points to be out of the relegation spots. That’s doable.
I doubt Everton will go down though. They are playing quite well, the underlying numbers are decent too, and there are three clearly weaker teams in the league. Last season it would have relegated them, this season I doubt it. They are level with Burnley and only two points off safety.
Everton will probably stay up. Not because they are that good, but because Burnely, Luton and Sheffield are just way out of their depth.
It’s just Guardiola’s version of “If I speak I am in big trouble”.
