    Yet another reason to just allow every citizen to vote. Denying the right to vote due to incaceration or conviction is wrong as they are still members of society.

      Absolutely, if for no other reason, many will be back in society soon, after the election they could have voted in affects the world they rejoin. Some may say that’s the price for doing the crime, but prison should be about helping people become a better person and fix the problems that got them there, not a punishment. In an ideal world, of course.

    Why on earth are american citizens not allowed to vote because they have been convicted of various crimes?

    It’s so bizarre. Especially after they have served their punishment.

    Or am I missing something?
