that’s satire, right? has to be. please. “unemployed minors”, that’s just a fancy phrase for “children” who ARE IN SCHOOL
“taxes on couches”
The question stands 😂
You mean “fun money”
The taxing of couches is legit!
What about renting for an hour?
Asking for a friend.
Who among us was not a confused and horny young man, left alone and unsupervised for a few hours, and allowed for a wandering mind…
My single favorite report was on this one.
Misleading title, it’s not clear this is a parody post.
For those that don’t know, it’s a parody.
It is obvious because of “couches”, but apart from that, it could have been 100% Fox “News”.
Making parodies in modern times is a difficult business. You make up a joke, just to see that reality just overtook you with the pedal to the metal.
It sucks that I was unsure at “unemployed minors,” because the party is overtly pro-child labor and that bad at optics.
Honestly the only thing that threw me off is taxes on couches. Otherwise I would’ve thought this was real
That was where I figured it out too.
Nah I was completely ready to believe that Fox News would take a joke Walz made about couches (which I knew he did) and claim it was an assault on money and freedom.
I really can’t tell with this reality anymore
I honestly didn’t believe you until I saw the “Tax on corporate profits, couches”
It’s fake, a repost from a “humor” Reddit post:
Dang it. I hate seeing my state brought up in politics, which is often. And there’s my governor.
Soon to be was your governor.
It must feel like when everyone suddenly discovers the cool band you’ve listened to for years.
Sorry, I meant my Arkansas governor in the comments in Reddit celebrating child labor.
My favorite comment in that thread:
They chose this as the best photo for the press release. Were the children crying in the others?
Did they just change the list? I’m not sure what to think if the
titleheadline is accurate or not.I’d say it’s innacurate.
TBH I reported it. I think the title should at least suggest its a parody, though I’m not sure if OP knows it is.
Lol there is no way Fox would put Couches in there
Is that a real screen? Some of those seem mask off even by Fox’s standards.
No
Seriously, I wouldn’t be shocked if it was real. But it definitely looks fake. Especially with the couch bit.
Gotta think about it because the ‘right’ ‘wing’ is pretty weird and fox is a fire in a bin outside a Gregs in Rotherham but no, the couch fucker tax is a giveaway.

I feel like this could be on fox news and they would lap it up.
I feel like this will be shared uncritically by people who sincerely oppose women having “unsupervised female health decisions” et al.
The wingnuts are so messed up I had to read this twice and really try to reassure myself it wasn’t real.
I realized when I got to “couches.”
I could tell by “LGBTQIA+” and “Rights”, also the phrasing of the medical care one.
Unsupervised female health decisions? Is this a real thing you would see on the television in the USA?
Its sad that we are at least two who would legitimately not know if this is a meme/joke or irl in the US…
Edit: seems like we’re more than two…!
I thought it might be real until I got to the taxes on couches.
Still sad that its this far down the list and that the rest could have been true
Couches. If it’s a couch, it’s probably parody.
Remember, trump has said they’re not talking about couches.
Edit: For the record though, look for the “what a monster” interview. I can’t seem to find the original clip
Still scary that its only one word from being almost impossible to tell from parody
Pretty much. Yes. Terrifying.
If it had been real, they would have chosen different phrasing, but mean the same thing.
Stop it, stop it. I already like the guy. Geez. But really, great joke.
Meanwhile Trump is proudly sharing clips of his promise to start the largest mass deportations in the history of the country.
Both sides though.
‘…unemployed minors…’
taxes on corporate profits, couches
This is when I realized it wasn’t real.
It took me until “couches”
🛋️
I laughed out loud at the couches, which combined with rampant lgbtq + rights makes it cleary a joke.
I mean, it’s obviously fake, but on the other hand, it’s disturbingly close to something they’d actually show to rile up their not-so-smart-or-empathetic viewers.
if “tampon tim” is an actual thing in their toolbox, then literally anything could be
“UNSUPERVISED FEMALE HEALTH DECISIONS” bruh, it’s like, tell me you hate women without saying you hate women 🤦♂️
Canada is right here, guys, and we’re only sorry we don’t have free college. Free dental is coming, though.
ROFL They are making him seem like the best candidate to me! The ‘unemployed minors’ is wild, it’s as if the MAGA don’t believe students are real. (to prevent future comments saying it’s fake, I want to say that I don’t actually believe this is real. I should’ve been clearer, to be honest).
Or i dunno lol like as in children? Also they slayed me at couches
Haha, yeah, the MAGA can only see them as future workers instead of mere children! Also, the couches bit really extorted a chuckle out of me. The meme about JD Vance (not based on fact) is certainly penetrating the political discussion. As JD Vance is weird enough to make it mildly believable.
Yeah, I mean it’s clearly satire, but really only because of that one line. I don’t think they were actually trying to fool anyone, but if they were, all they’d need to do is delete “unemployed” and I wouldn’t have thought this was fake at all.
And “couches” obviously.
It is satire, yes, it was very Onion-y. It made all the ‘quiet parts’ which Republicans used to keep silence before…Loud and Clear. If they had simply kept “unemployed” but deleted the reference to couches, I would’ve actually believed this to be true. As Fox News is highly falsified news, I wouldn’t have been able to tell the difference from their normal denial of reality.
Its
Fake …

I rarely see anything Fox says for about two decades, and I’ve felt much better ever since.
